Day 340
Day 340: Shape Up - The dominant shape for this challenge is a Heart. For my card, I used the biggest heart I had.

Day 338
Day 338: Colour Scheme - Today is a colour challenge. I haven't participated in many of them before now but today's was pretty easy given that Valentine's Day is just around the corner.

Birthday Blues
I was hoping to squeak one more card in but I guess because I had to emboss and cut all my pieces I missed the cutoff by a few minutes. Oh well, at least I have one more Masculin Birthday card for my stash.

Fun & Fast
Here is a quick and simple card I made this morning, just trying to use up the free graphics I printed yesterday so that I don't have to find a new home for them. I have a tendency of starting a lot of things and never finishing them and I'm running out of room!

Age Is Just A Number
I used this layout at the end of last year for a card I made my aunt. The present tag is a great addition to the card but it reminds me that I need to get a different size of Nestibilities. The image was a perfect size to cut with my blue sized Marvy Uchida punch.

I have no idea what happened to my scan ... in real life all the colours match! I took another crack at the present image. It's coming down to the wire and I just may have time to make one more card before I have to call it a night.
Another Birthday Card
I tried my hand at another one of the free images that I came across today. This one is by Niki Estes. If you're interested drop by her blog My Paper Creations.

Sending Birthday Wishes
I thought that this image from Becky Oehlers over at Studio 64 was fun since I live 6 hours away from my family and have to mail them most of their Birthday cards. I wish I had a stamp that says "Sending Birthday Wishes.

Celebrate
I used the same image but created a different a card that is more juvenille. I find it awesome when you can use the same image but design a card with a whole different look. Sometimes with my stamps and brass stencils, I keep using them in the same way. If you want to take a go at this image make sure you drop by Freckled and Fun.

Make A Wish
Here is another card made with the image that was offerred by Beth Silaika over at Freckled & Fun to celebrate Papertrey's Birthday. I tried using dark colours to make a masculine card since I always seem to have a shortage of those.

Happy Birthday Papertrey!
To celebrate their Birthday, each member of the 2010 Papertrey Stamp Designer Team has created a birthday image to download, print and utilize as an embellishment on a card. Here's a card I made using a design from Beth Silaika over at Freckled & Fun.

SSC136
I tried my hand at another one of Stamping 411's sketches. Here is my take. I used a stamp that I bought last year and never got around to using. It's by Sunshine Designs.

Day 337
Today's Sunday which means it's a sketch challenge over on 365cards. Here's my interpretation of the sketch ... I hope it's obvious that my card features a cake.

Chez Cin
Today I am going to share with you how I store my clear unmounted stamps. I'm a big fan of the cheap ones (like the Studio G from Michael's) and since I have a lot of them I store them in a bin I got from the $ store. They sorted by theme and I can flip through them easily to find what I'm looking for very quickly. I store them in their original packaging and have clear bags that are similiar in size for small stamps that are from non Studio G companies.
I store my large stamp sets in their original packaging in a similar way except for the fact that I store them by company. They are all alphabetical so I can find what I'm looking for relatively easy. If the packaging that the stamps came in gets damaged, is not resealable or if it's a stamp set that I use quite often, I put them in large ziploc bags to make it easy for me to get to them but more important, easy for me to put them away.

FTL #76
Wow look at that 2 FTL cards in one day! Okay you can't get any more simpler than this card! I made this card using one of the very first stamps (Inkadinkado 56604) I ever bought. Back in the day before I had a room full of stamps & other craft supplies I actually heat embossed the hearts on regular printer paper! Here's my take on the sketch:

FTL #75
I thought I'd take a crack at one of the great sketches put forth by Clean & Simple. This is the first time I've ever attached a ribbon like this and I was happy to use one of the punches I had ordered in error. Glad to see it came in handy afterall!

SSC135
I came across this sketch over the weekend while I was sorting through my feeds and thought it would be perfect to use with my Michael Strong stamp. I didn't realize until I posted the sketch that the sentiment was supposed to go at the buttom. I may take another crack at this sketch. You can't tell from my scan but I cut out some of the pieces of the heart and both the heart and the cardstock are metallic.

Rubber Stamp Storage
So here is how I store my rubber stamps. I used to keep them in clear shoe box bins that were organized by theme and sat on shelves but I found it a pain to dig around in the boxes especially ones that were full to find the stamp that I was looking for and even more of a pain having to fit my stamps back in the bin like a jig saw trying to get them just right. I had my Dad make me these shelves that just hang on the wall like picture frames. I used to have all my stamps organized by company with my Michael's $1 stamps all fitting on the end shelf looking very pretty. A few weeks ago I took all my stamps off the shelves and grouped them together so that all the similar stamps were together. I figured this was a good way to stop me from buying too many stamps of the same kind ... how many "Celebrate or Love" stamps does one need? The great thing about storing my stamps like this is that it makes them really accessible and easy to put away. If I had to do the shelves over again, although it would be more time consuming for the builder, I'd make the shelves so that the shelves were adjustable and make them a little wider to accomodate a double row of stamps. As you can see my shelves are quite full and I don't have much room for new stamps!
